Generously, Whoopi said she'd do one with ol' Niles. Then, perhaps finally sensing her opportunity, ringleader Barbara Walters made a pass at Ms. Goldberg.

All of it culminated with awkward camera work and Joy shrieking that Babs had just come out and then Ms. Walters making a "don't ask, don't tell joke" and our heads lolled back on our necks and our ears started ringing. So, nothing new from The View.

<![CDATA[Actor You Long Believed To Be Gay Is Confirmed As Gay]]>
In a shocking revelation that is sure to awaken feelings you haven't experienced since you learned that guy who played Doogie Howser is sexually attracted to men, the AfterElton blog exclusively confirms that Frasier's gay-seeming brother is, in fact, gay. The tip off (besides an 11-year run convincingly portraying a character who found it nearly impossible to consummate a heterosexual relationship with the help) was a passing reference to Hyde Pierce "partner" Brian Hargrove in a recent AP story about the actor's successful career on Broadway, prompting AfterElton to contact his rep for clarification that the individual mentioned was a life-partner partner, and not some other variety of strictly platonic creative collaborator, like the guy who runs Hugh Jackman's production company. Now that this matter is out in the open, we trust that the media will respect Hyde Pierce's privacy, recognizing that like trailblazing Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight, being gay isn't the most interesting thing about him, and not begin hassling him about posing with his favorite pet on the cover of the The Advocate.

<![CDATA[You Will NEVER GUESS Who's Gay!]]> Yes, yes, it's hard to believe that the man who played one of sitcomdom's most effete heterosexuals may, in fact, dig dudes, but there you have it: Blog AfterElton.com notes a recent CNN article about the "Frasier" co-star that mentions his (gasp!) male partner. And those queens brim with pride:

Whatever the cause, we want to applaud Pierce for feeling comfortable enough to have his sexuality discussed in stories about him (and on a more personal note, as a fan, I'm thrilled to have him on the team!). He's currently appearing on Broadway in his Tony-nominated role in Curtains, and I'm sure he'd love to be mobbed by his gay fans at the stage door!
There's something creepy, adorable, and wonderful all wrapped in one in that final sentence. I mean, let's be honest, who else is mobbing David Hyde Pierce's stage door? People hoping he still hangs out with that dog from the TV show?
