There's nothing racist about this. It's a hallowed tradition! The inauguration practice stand-in for George W. Bush in 2000 was a 20-something dumb fuck from west Texas with a thing for the nose-candy and the stand-in for Bill Clinton in 92 was a 20-something hillbilly from Hot Springs with a horn-dog hard-on.

@raysanni: The black beret became part of the regular army uniform in 2001. It was traditionally only associated with the Rangers, but it was decided/thought that it would boost morale if the elite association were broadened to the entire force. Kind of in a "we're all special" way, which, of course, never works. But the honchos at the time (Rummy and Wolfie) must have special wisdom or something.
