She never asked about a book claiming that Holmes' daughter, Suri, was created from the frozen sperm of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. Was she afraid ?

hah, that's about on par with Mike Wallace asking Obama if he was really born in Kenya... is she fucking insane?

Plus, you KNOW Peyser was humming this when she was typing her bile-laced screed:

There is nothin' like a dame,
    Nothin' in the world,
There is nothin' you can name
That is anythin' like a dame!

Nothin' else was built the same,
    Nothin' in the world
As the soft and wavy frame
Like the silhouette of a dame!

There is absolutely nothin' like a frame of a dame.

So suppose that dame and bride
    Are completely free from flaws,
Or as faithful as a bird dog,
Or as kind as Santa Claus,
It's a waste of time to worry
Over things that they have not,
We're thankful for the things they got!

There is nothin' you can name
That is anythin' like a dame!

There are no books like a dame,
And nothin' looks like a dame.
There are no drinks like a dame,
And nothin' thinks like a dame,
    Nothin' acts like a dame,
    Or attracts like a dame.
There ain't a thing that's wrong with any man here
That can't be cured by pullin' him near
A girly, womanly, female, feminine dame!

Adam Sandler is "sort of washed-up"?

@Balsa Wood: Yeah, I don't get that. I mean, I haven't even bothered with one of his movies since "Big Daddy" but it seems like he still makes money. Whereas Jennifer Aniston has *never* been a successful film actress.

@Balsa Wood: @ShawnP: In entertainment circles Sandler is sort of washed up but not that bad. I was at a dinner party and it was argued that Sandler only did 'Funny People' because he wanted to get back some of the fame in the comedy sector he lost to Seth Rogen. Sandler never capitalized how good of an actor he can be after 'Punch Drunk Love' so there's a slight "it could have been so good!" type of vibe that come out of him.

Jenifer Aniston is loved but she is seen as the kiss of death to some movies so she tends to take non stop Rom Coms. Katherine Heigl is moving into her market and there are rumors of Aniston returning to TV when a good pilot comes up.

@fatmonalisa: Whether or not your dinner party intel's reliable, I happen to think he was very good in Funny People. And I think Funny People was sorely underrated.

Actors do get older...which, I guess, in bloggese, is "washed up."

In my opinion, Katherine Heigl's more pathetic than either of them.

I've said it before on this site and I'll say it again, the largest single block of ad money in the world goes to Television. And not by a small margin. TV remains the most effective way to reach your market in a measurable way; ad airs, sales go up. Not like with the web and all its fuzzy bullshit metrics.
