    Young boys were never prone to idolization when I was growing up. I remember when I was in 3rd grade all the girls were rocking their NKOTB dolls and backpacks, the boys like myself didn't know wtf was going on.

    When I was 12 I watched MTV for like 90 minutes every day when I got home from school. They had this amazing show called MTV PLAYING MUSIC VIDEOS. Granted there's no Nirvana now, and who likes Zombie Guns n Roses?, so maybe there wouldn't be any music videos boys want to watch. But hey, Disney, why don't you start a station that shows music videos? You could call it, I dunno, Song Television (STV)?

    @Astigmatism: VH1 between 6 and 9 AM is like reuniting with an old forgotten friend. They actually play music videos. It is extraordinary. Most of the music may be terrible, but at least there are music vidoes...on television!

    @Dead Wrestlers Society: I assumed that she was either -- a) a loser from American Idol or b) from a Disney show, which is where I assume all popular singers come from now. However, my girlfriend that is isn't from either of those, and she just, you know, but out an album. How novel.

    Doesn't Disney already have ESPN for this target market? I'm not sure I understand. What young male is looking for a serialized drama specifically made "for kids?" All a tween boy wants are the auspices of his early-20's role models. Predicting a flop.

    It'll never work. Boys aren't wired for this kind of thing unless there are guns and/or monster trucks heavily involved. And even then they'll focus way more on the action than on the actors/characters. There isn't going to be a male Hanna Montana, I can tell you that.
