    It's actually quite sickening how many Subway locations there are within five miles of where I currently sit. IIRC, there are six. The number of McDonald's locations? Two. (Used to be three, until one closed and -- guess what -- a Subway replaced it).

    It's all about the old rape fantasy thing - you have to relinquish control to someone else to allow yourself to enjoy sex. These are really seduction fantasies - "Oh, I didn't really want to do that dirty thing - he MADE me do it!" (And then I loved it). Of course rape really isn't about sexual enjoyment - it's about power and no rape victum enjoys being raped - that's for sure.

    @intime: Absolutely. There's really no such thing as a rape fantasy (unless you fantasize about being the rapist, which... euch) because if it's a fantasy, you're creating it in your mind, you have complete control over everything that happens and everything that happens is exactly what you want. Anyone claiming that women "ask" or "want" to be raped, and rape fantasies prove it, is an asshole of the highest order. Rape/submission fantasy and actual rape have nothing to do with each other, and are not comparable in any way.

    @Slovenly Muse: Yes, you are correct, of course. I knew a woman who liked to discuss and, to a point, act out fantasies of very rough sex which could, at its extreme, approach physical abuse. And, she refused to adopt a safe word. However, I could plainly see that certain things turned her on and others didn't, which determined for me how I would limit my actions while doing exactly what she requested, so in the end she still exerted control over the situation.

    Seriously, I'm a scientist. I do research for a living and I'm extremely offended that you're referring to psychologists and sociologists as scientists unless they're working on hardcore statistical theories. Folks in the biological and physical sciences refer to them as the crazies, just kidding. No, only a little bit. So, PLEASE add the word "SOCIAL" in front of these research professionals. Thanks.

    While I agree that most sociologists are not "scientists" in the same way that chemists and biologists are (or even more humanistic professionals like anthropologists), they are certainly more scientific than laymen.

    Many sexual fantasies involving dominance and surrender occur b/c someone wants to relinquish responsibility & guilt (think Bristol Palin) after all, so much baggage comes w/ sex when all we want to do is simply enjoy it(hence fantasies b/c of the repercussions of free love)It's logical that some socially dominant women fantasize in this way: in real life, they're (usually) responsible & control the urges that lead to trouble (i.e., cheating)
