    I'm assuming this is the firehouse on West 3rd Street to which the silver-haired CNN anchor and his boyfriend are rumored to be moving. The building was sold in September this year for $4.3m. Anderson Cooper isn't listed as the buyer. But the name on the deed is Carolyn Rossip Malcolm, a money manager to other celebrities such as Jennifer Connelly and Ethan Hawke.

    From the listing: "This 1906 8,420-square-foot four-story former Greenwich Village firehouse still has its original brass poles, circular stairs and herringbone brick floor, as well as a two-story detached building once used as a stable." If this is indeed AC's new residence, it's an impressively bold choice. The CNN newsman has opened himself up to years of blog and gossip column tittering about his huge pole.

    Speaking of which, any skilled photoshop artist feel like mocking up a firemen's calendar featuring the firehouse's new owner and his appropriately beefy boyfriend?

    @Nick Denton: Is that really a good idea? You have realized in the course of all your extensive Cooper research that he has had problems with a number of literally insane stalkers, haven't you? It's not as though he's in a gated estate or wandering around with security.

    Are you going to start posting photos with map links for the homes of other news people gay and straight? Cooper isn't even close to the most widely watched one on TV. #andersoncooper

    Are you planning to post pics and map links to homes not in gated estates belonging to other news people both gay and straight? Do you have a justification for intruding this much on Cooper alone when he's far from the most watched news personality? #andersoncooper

    @mostlymartian: A lot of media outlets obfuscate addresses when they publish stories about real estate transactions, for instance. And that might have provided some protection a decade or two ago. But so many of the records -- and streetview photographs -- are now available over the web. Anything that I can do in five minutes, so can a stalker.

    You asked also about consistency. Yes, we are consistently nosy. For instance, here are satellite photos of Lou Dobbs' estate in New Jersey.

    Like most 'mos in the city, I've met my fair share of guys who AC has cast his 360° gaze on, but I've also met two of his ex-BF's (who had nothing but good things to say), and I'm sure they're glad they haven't been subjected to *this* level of a detailed outing. Coop certainly has a consistent type, that's for sure, but I dig the fact that he doesn't go for guys from the Vanderbilt caste. #andersoncooper

They don't devote any intense breathless coverage and investigating reporting to the girlfriends/boyfriends/pick ups of other closeted gay and lesbian anchors and news personalities either.     I go to Crunch and used to see Maisani all the time there working out, for a fairly average looking gay he seems to catch all of the cuties. As much as I love the Coop, (but imagine him to be mediocre in bed) this guy's last boyfriend,(at least I think he was the boyfriend) who also went to Crunch, was a total babe. Tats in all the right places, scruffy, and an amazingly hot bod...he was definitely not black... blond with glasses if I remember correctly...oh and he speaks french too, but my guess is he's from Quebec...because it sounded like ass..... #andersoncooper

    I'm so happy that Anderson has a boyfriend now. Back a couple of years ago, he looked sad and lonely and he refused to buy a new mattress. Now, he has a lovely young man to sleep with and his Mummy has designed his new apartment and he has a new bed and mattress. That makes me happy!! I hope this affair lasts forever.
