    Hey, asshole. Nowhere in your half-assed mea culpa was the phrase "to make up for my insult and general douchebaggery, i will be donating x thousand dollars to Invisible Children". Or any substantial information about what's going on in Gulu and what those "smug, stupid kids" were marching about. Want to make nice? Educate your tragically large audience about the LRA and Joseph Kony, and tell them to donate to IC and all the other organizations actually trying to do good in the world, rather than bitching that your pleasant bougie lunch was interrupted.


    Note: I've marched with and donated to Invisible Children before, and I am a happily smug pro-protest leftist.

    I would guess Gawker is using the Drudge style of sensationalizing and "shaping" stories. Or the blogger is paid by word count and the copy editor nicked off the last paragraph.
