Blonde hair, blue eyes, a sense of elitist entitlement, extreme narcissism, sexual attraction to men in positions of power and gaining positions based on connections instead of on literary merit. Pardon? --An intern at Vanity Fair you say?
Part of the beauty of a trust fund has been the freedom to avoid such a man, those incredibly rich but invariably dull hedge funders and private equity guys, bean counters and bureaucrats, so available in New York and urged on all single girls
Hear that single women of New York? You are either princesses or whores. It's just like Paris of 19th century. Except the writers suck.
We almost missed it. She was showing us, in the Slate article, who the villains are. We just need the guest list for that conference, and bingo, much of our work is done. Victoria, please send the list to tips@gawker.com
She's pretty clearly describing the same dinner here [www.slate.com] as Wolff is describing here [www.vanityfair.com] Obviously that doesn't prove anything at all, but still. Her piece ends with her going after a different guy.
@Uncle_Billy_Slumming: Because this whole thing takes place inside a Bond movie, in which Misha is the American-educated jet-ski enthusiast (good), but the more astute reader can enjoy their early ominous visual cue (villain type villa). Here's another question: Has there been a mention, ever, in any of the Bond movies or books, of the Mossad? Felix Leiter, CIA, all the time, but never an Oy Oy Seven?
I'm just going to assume that this is just subtle retaliation for my earlier assertion that something in a certain someone's pancake portrait didn't seem drawn to scale.

Gawker, is it possible you made this girl up? She seems entirely too perfect for you.
