But, um, why is the tsunami 500 feet high? I mean, in modern human era, have we ever witnessed a tsunami that would have taken down the WTC as depicted in these pictures? Also, I've seriously thought about moving to Kansas. I think the water would have receded by that point.

see, this makes me feel better. yesterday i was watching an interactive web video about how my fair city, new orleans, could be sitting in open water by 2020 due to coastal erosion. now i have learned that i'm fucked no matter where i live, and i might as well live somewhere where it's 70 degrees in november and you can drink on the street.
FEMA is now warning people in the Midwestern and Southern regions of the US that a "catastrophic" earthquake could destroy most of the central part of the country. So no matter where you live, you're fucked.
