I worked on a project with Erin back in March and we discovered we had some mutual friends. We got on quite well actually and she's the type of acquaintance whom I rarely see but when I do run into her, usually when I 'm out somewhere, she is always warm and friendly and all smiles and laughs. She's not vapid, but actually pretty smart and very driven. She used to do this internet TV show about fashion and she has done some work for MTV in the past because she told me that. Her dad is the AC/DC guy, she did go to school in Florida, and she is, or at least was, an ASPIRING ACTRESS/VJ or Extra correspondent type. When we worked together she told me she had a project in the works with MTV where she would be "hosting" some kind of show. She probably didn't know Whitney at all. That being said, she's actually really sweet and funny and quirky. She's pretty down to earth, and I like hanging out with her, which is more than I can say for most of the personalities on the Hills or the City for that matter if I were to meet them, at least judging from those first 2 episodes. Olivia and that Nevil cousin of hers are cringe-inducing, those quarreling model boys are full of shit, and I like whitney but I grow weary of those dreamy eyes and defeatest sighs.

@PrimroseGanjiro: I hate to judge anyone on two episodes, but Erin has a very warm and charming smile and seems to give good advice. I wish the show were about her instead of Whitney.

They should make a show about this guy--like, a Martha Stewart show, where he alternates between making delicious meals, and interviewing oddball guests in a really informal setting.

God i hate young people. Seriously, fuck-off and get out of my city. Yeah that's right, MY FUCKING CITY. If I'm out, and I am a lot and I see you, I will cut you. I can tolerate the Hills because it affirms all my opinions about LA. Plus you can be a shameless douchebag out there and not feel bad, if only for a few days. But here, in my town, your kind aren't welcome. Well you are at Tenjune. But that's a different matter. The point is these shows were about the boom. A time when luxury brands could make showmercials masquerading as content and all the underworked progeny of the capitalist overclass could parade around like they mattered. Well now its over. I went to high school with an Erin Williams. There was also a Whitney Kort, but we called her Whitney Port because she allowed many a ship to dock, if you know what I mean. So, maybe that's her.

Ok... I wrote the blog post about adventures in facebook with Adam Divello. Yes that happened.

My understanding is this.

There was ONE other Erin Williams who went to NYU and used to be my room mate when we went to school together. Neither she nor I ever knew whitney port. It was a case of mistaken identity. They seem to have later found the correct erin williams who appears to love to say the word prune all the time.

As far as I know all the confusion yesterday was simply about this single case of mistaken identity and no one could figure out which Erin they were referring to when in the comments. Because I sure as hell couldn't when I spotted the incoming link and caught up on what had been going on.

I'm flattered that Erin engaged in the comments and mentioned my blog and all, but like, tevs, ya'll. This is not THAT complicated or really worthy of multiple posts.

Who is Erin from The City? She is supposed to be Turkish. Some say her father was German. Nobody believed she was real. Nobody ever saw her or knew anybody that ever worked directly with her, but to hear Whitney tell it, anybody could have worked with Erin. You never knew. That was her power.
