    Andrew, considering that at the start of Chavez's presidency he was briefly removed from power by a coup sponsored and implemented by the US, I kind of don't think that he would want US military forces in Venezuela.

    Also, as has been pointed out, you linked to an article about Columbia. And even in that article, Chavez opposed US military presence.

    I can't stay in a room with any Fox News running for more than 30 seconds before my logic filter gets clogged with gunk, and I have to turn it off or leave. And Beck is the worst of them. You have to protect your finely tuned cognitive apparatus from exposure to this sort of abuse, or you will end up rolling around in the floor babbling about the 'global warming hoax' and other reactionary talking points which they are trying to inject into your subconscious. Just don't do it, boys and girls.


    That said, I don't like dictators. Of any political persuasion.

    So where were Beck's criticisms of FISA and the Patriot Act?


    See? It's simply annoying to observe such obvious journalistic pandering.

    Hate to quibble, but in point of fact Hugo Chavez is not a dictator. Venezuela has had a number of elections in recent years, and Chavez always abides by the results, even when they don't go in his favor.


    Would that we could say the same up here.
