    @raincoaster: It could come from anywhere. My best guess is that he's the playboy son of some filthy rich Malaysian financier, construction magnate, or some such. The economy has been booming in that region (setting aside the current economic crisis, of course), so it's not terribly out of hand to imagine that the money has legitimate sources. #jholow

    He's a North Korean intelligence agent. They're giving him the "Eli Cohen" / "Robert Maxwell" / "Vivi Nevo" treatment where they give him a lot of money and then he gets close to big shots because everyone wants a piece of him. Except... who would want a piece of this guy?

    Here he is being really really funny at Wharton, 9 years ago, (or a few weeks old if it's a planted story; if it's the same Wharton Jho Low).
