I dunno. I guess I'd rather not have a bunch of Chavez clones running around down there, but it's not MY country. It sounds like someone has been watching too many movies of some guy named Ernesto on a motorcycle to me. Big ideas, bandanas, and romance. Viva whatever.

Supporting right-wing military intervention = "it looks like a crazy leader kinda got a little carried away with this little poll of his"????

Man, this particular Sunday I'm really missing the wit and wisdom of the Jessica Coen days...

Think of all the misery and inconvenience had only they used a Central American Idol-style phone poll instead.

The runner-up could have won a consolation prize of taking a muy guapo soldier home to help salve his loss.

E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E would have gone home happy.

Simon Cowell, you've failed the world yet again.

The best and greatest lesson on the Law I ever saw was inside the Bookshop Santa Cruz. It was featured in a sign which was taped to a rocking chair, which read, "PLEASE LEAVE THIS CHAIR WHERE IT IS!"

But of course "WHERE IT IS" might be where someone who broke the law placed it. That illegal act now has the protection of the law.

Another sampling is along a range of roadway down south designated by law, with enforceable penalty of fines which constituted the gross domestic product of the community, a Daylight Headlight section, along which were arrayed four signs along its length reading "TURN ON HEADLIGHTS."

Of course every vehicle passing that way would break the law at least three times out of four along that stretch of road.

    Emma Goldman was right.

I'm sure Zelaya is having a grand time at the Hotel Del Rey in downtown San Jose.
