As long as they don't make Footloose with Sparkle Motion (committed as they are...well most of them).

BTW, I'm sure Melissa Leo will appreciate the "up-and-coming/young" description, but she's actually a veteran who did 5 seasons on Homicide: Life on the Street.

This Footloose casting bothers the hell out of me. Bacon's character was supposed to be rebellious and hot enough to lead good Baptist girls to the dark side of dancing and "Let's Here it For the Boys". Chace Crawford can not play anything convincingly, especially rebellious or lets say "straight". This will be a disaster and if any asshole in the country world comes close to remaking any Kenny Loggins song on that soundtrack, I will blow up Nashville.

Confession--I never saw the original Footloose. Is dancing the only skill that's required, or are we going to be forced to listen to the prettyboy attempt to sing as well?

(I use "we" loosely here, as I don't plan to see the remake either.)

@DahlELama: You MUST see this movie! Yes, it's cheesy, but it's also perfectly cast and surprisingly well acted. Kevin Bacon, Chris Penn, John Lithgow, Lori Singer, Diane Wiest, Sarah Jessica Parker! Trust me, it's good stuff.
