Most of the comments here are soaked in bitterness and class angst.

This story's for laughing at, people. Not getting all pissed off about.
And when you think about how much NYU is going to miss that $80,000, remind yourself that this is a school that makes more than $1 billion per year in revenue, owns a large swath of the East Village (including apartment buildings and hotels) and charges students about $30,000 per year in tuition... and there are 37,000 of them. Do that math, and then realize that's only one of their revenue sources.

Presumably the Che-t-shirt-loving students know what Che Guevara, as Castro's prison commander, did to unsuccessful members of the opposition. He tortured and then executed them.
NYU should take a page from the Che book. Just kidding. Sort of.

footnotes 56-59

"Raúl Gómez Treto, senior legal advisor to the Cuban Ministry of Justice, has argued that removing restrictions on the death penalty were justified in order to prevent citizens themselves from taking justice into their own hands, as happened twenty years earlier in the anti-Machado rebellion"
Previews of coming attractions?
The article talks about executions, but I saw nothing about torture. Has anyone read these sources? Are they credible accounts of Che personally participating in executions and torture as mentioned above?
