    Good advice, PN. A girlfriend dumped me while I was in high school, and I spent a year after graduation writing poetry to her in a special notebook that I was going to give her "someday."

    20+ years later, I'm back in flyover country to see mum and sis, and I bump into my lost amorcita at the local mall. She's in line to get a Cinnamon Bun with all the implications of that act on her hips. Two kids. Votes Republican. And her book group is reading Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Life."


    For all of the Gawker Broken Hearted: you can go home again...but don't.

    @the supergoddess: I marginally know an aggressively blond couple who met at Club D's. I'm thinking once their announcement makes its inevitable appearance, a field trip to the vaunted institution may be in order. We can get the bouncer's musings on young love.


    Also, I just took a quick skim through the Yelp entry and it is brimming with the rage of the unwashed masses. Not our kind, dear.

    @Phyllis Nefler: From one of the Yelp reviews, "I even had someone come up to me and tell me they were surprised I got in wearing a basic graphic tee with some sneakers. Guess I should have thrown on my salmon j-crew pants and my seer sucker shirt before I came here."
