"Even while Gawker's comment goes lowbrow, the network of sites courts high-end marketers with big, custom display units. "

what the hell does this mean? Did they mean to say the "content" is lowbrow?

Ok. So is this when we decide to put a "jack" on Ad Age for calling us lowbrow? 'Cause, honestly, I'll knock a bitch up with a realness in my smush, yo.

@raincoaster: I hardly ever watch TV anymore. If it's not on Hulu, onDemand, cbs.com or clipped on a blog, I doubt that I'll ever see it.

Of course that means I have to wait until the next day for 30 Rock , until after midnight for HIMYM and I don't get to see the Daily Show or Colbert until around 2AM (local time), but so be it.

ETA: Now I'm off to watch the last ten episodes of my ten-seasons over ten months, 204(?) episode odyssey through Stargate SG-1

    Oh, and congrats Gawker!
    I agree with your ranking.

@raincoaster: Personally, I'll only watch properly licensed, legal content, and I'd prefer to do it all in one sitting, without having to piece together stuff from eight minute bits. Not to mention that I'd rather spread myself over several websites, rather than put all my eggs in any one basket.

Perhaps contrary to that last sentence, I used to watch most of my content through the individual networks, but I also like the Hulu queue. That way, when one of my subscribed programs is new, it'll show up in my list and I don't have to go hunting for it.

Though, maybe that's all just me.

If hipsters, douches and reality TV comment parties are lowbrow, I don't wanna be highbrow.

Also, isn't it fun how several of the Top Ten sites are at odds with each other?

Much of the "lowbrow" situation is due to a certain someone called Sarah Palin. She started it.
