    I always side with whoever's supposed to have a higher standard. I was expected to have one back in the day. An older woman already well along my intended career path told me I should never date (that anyone would find out about), always be best at everything and never complain.
    Turned out the career path got boring after about two years anyway, even when I wasn't following their stupid rules.

    The fact that he chose to tell his story to Out just kills it for me. He could not have picked a skeezier magazine without needing an opaque polybag. Mr. Hydroceph (perhaps i should say, the other Mr. Hydroceph since WE'RE GAY...sorry, people don't seem to get that) for some reason gets Out w/o subscribing to it, and we have to throw it out immediately lest our son start asking awkward questions: "Daddy, what's a circuit queen?"

    @mfnher: I work at a university, too, and as far as i'm concerned, eye candy is one of the fringe benefits. It doesn't matter what your deal is, you see it walk by, and when the weather's warm, it's probably not wearing a whole lot.
