There is no sufficient citizenship verification requirements to ensure illegal immigrants are excluded from benefits they are not due in this health care bill. Republicans did have legislation in the bill that required verification to ensure citizenship, but it was taken out by the democrats. So what you now have, is a bill that will provide care to anyone who asks for it without any sort of verification on citizenship. Joe Wilson was right on the money.

He perfectly summed up the right's position on health insurance reform in a two-word sentence. All that was missing was for him to hold his breath, stamp his feet and wet himself and the hissy fit tantrum Republicans are having over these much-needed, incremental steps would have been complete.

So...how much did the insurance companies donate to his last few campaigns, anyway?

The word is "preventive" care, not "preventative" and it most certainly does save money. My breast cancer was found at stage one during a routine mammogram. I had to have a mastectomy, but no chemo, no radiation, and not even five years of tamoxifen.

Rountine screenings for prostate cancer, diabetes, heart disease, breast cancer, etc. save millions of dollars. Do you think insurance companies would provde those services if it didn't? Do you think they let us get them out of the goodness of their little corporate hearts?

I was so disgusted with Wilson's calling President Obama a liar last night, to his FACE, on the floor of the House of Representatives, in front of ALL members of Congress, and the President's Cabinet, AND the people of the US and the WORLD!

He does not deserve the honor of Representing ANYONE in our government! If the people of his district elect him again, then that speaks well of their mentality....... but..... remember, it is SOUTH CAROLINA, led by Gov. MARK SANFORD, the liar, and adulterer!!

I have been trying to find a way to email Wilson, but his website is "shut down for repairs"! RIGHT!

Wilson should be hauled before the House Ethics Committee and run out of town. We don't need hateful, racist white Southern males like him who are totally disrespectful of the President of the United States.

I am 84 years old, a white woman, a Registered Republican. I voted Republican EVERY presidential election except in 2004 when I voted AGAINST bush, and again in 2008 when I voted for Barack Obama. I do NOT want him to fail, unlike the entire Republican Party!

I don't know if I will even be around for the next Presidential election, but I could NEVER again vote Republican. They definitely have become the "Party of NO", a bunch of angry, pathetic lunatics who cannot accept the fact that THEY LOST the election.

I don't know if LaserEyes Pelosi is thinking of censuring or fining Wilson for his rude outburst...BUT, if that is in the cards, why not just take away his government-controlled health insurance coverage that all members of Congress are entitled to? Let him see what the little people deal with every day. That would be perfect.

You know what would be interesting? If it were possible to figure out what Bush, Clinton and Reagan were doing on their (fill in the blank) day of office. We know Bush was preparing for war against Saddam Hussein any way he could get it.

The preponderance of negativity coming from the ranks in the two houses reeks of "We don't like change--we're scared." I am amazed at the grace under fire Obama has exhibited and for what it's worth, what other president has done so much in the first 6 to 8 months of office?

According to opensecrets.org his top campaign contributions come from "health professionals". Insurance, pharmaceutical and lobbyists (and credit/finance and real estate) are the top industry contributors to his PAC. So...yyyeeeeeeaaaah, you keep speaking truth to power there Addy.
