    Anyone with a basic knowledge of Photoshop will see that this is a fake. They managed to match the correct font but the size is wrong. Additionally, there is a misspelling, and of course the overall poorly written nature of the paragraph is in stark contrast to the rest of the site.

    As proof, check out the Web Archive. For those who are unfamiliar with it, the Web Archive stores past versions of website, going back many years. A simple search of Warren's website in the past shows that no such paragraph existed.

    Nice try to sling dirt and mud. Rick Warren is a Christian leader who is actually making more of a difference to the world's poor and hurting than all of the commenters on here. Or did you not know about his HIV/AIDS work in Africa?

    If you want to criticize a kooky wannabe-Christian, shout at Fred Phelps. He's a genuine nut-job, and he's so crazy that you don't have to make anything up!

    @UbadahKollenda: Rick Warren is doing good works in Africa, although his support of abstinence-only sex education hasn't worked out so well in Uganda, i'm told.


    But it's what he says in the US that has us all so riled. The only difference between him and members of the (more visibly) rabid religious right is a bland smile and his recently retired Hawaiian shirts--he himself has said there are no theological differences between him and James Dobson. Nothing anyone's criticized him for here is made up.

    Keep in mind - you can attend a church without being a member. So I think in the above, Warren is saying people can certainly attend his church if they are godless homos, but they can't join. If they want to join, they should renounce homosexuality, get a pair of pleated khakis and a plaid shirt, marry some frigid pale faced church-going lady and live in a sexless, loveless marriage while getting bl*wj*bs at bathhouses and airport restroom. That's the kind of members they want! Sign me up!
