    It seems to me that if you have to defend your position as "THIS IS NOT RACISM", then you doth protest too much.

    Also, any email chain that says "That's funny, I don't care who you are" was sent by a white person and is a) racist, b) sexist, c) homophobic or d) some delightful combination of all three.

    Not surprised at all. When all you can focus on is fame and money, you tend to not really give a fuck about the means that get you there. The best part is how she always turns the blame back on the liberal public and the media. She has zero accountability. Rarely has a politician made so many mistakes in the public eye and then refused to accept responsibility for even the smallest one, which is saying a lot in this age where being a simple televised apology can get you off the hook for almost anything. I can't wait to see where she's at in 20 years. It'll probably be worse than the hell we all wish she'd disappear to. And the best part about it is she'll have no one to blame but herself...but at least it'll be entertaining to see her try and point the finger at all of us.

    But even quoting such an extreme statement from an editor of the Washington Times (owned and run by Korean Baby Jesus, Sun Myung Moon, will not stop the media, Gawker included, from treating this crazy-assed rag as legitimate. Which is how Sarah Palins are created in the first place.

    @unclevanya: Take a look at her FB page, it will make you laugh and cry. Her supporters are all preordering multiple copies of the book to give out as Christmas presents. They keep buying them so it hits #1 on the NYTimes bestseller. They think it's funny that the NYT will have to say it's number one. Will any of these booger eating morons ever actually read it? Probably not. But they certainly are snapping them up like shrimp at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

    Lynn Vincent is a bigot herself. When she was webmaster at World Mag Blog, she routinely approved homophobic commentary on the site.

    As much as I applaud enterprenurial spirit, Vincent has made scads of money by pandering to (and shilling for) the religious right, which is more on a par with peddling porn than it is with say, running an independent bookstore. As we've seen, there is a lot of money to be made from the lunatic fringes of American society if one tells them what they want to hear.

    I really don't have much use for Paulson anymore, but the financial bailout is one of the major reasons why a lot of the economists are talking about economic recovery. It certainly wasn't the President's Day stimulus package.
