    I love that he said while stumping in a part of our great country that spends tax dollars on civil servants whose job it is to march around on a seek and destroy mission for ditch weed with the equivalent of a mini flame-thrower strapped to their backs.

    This is for all the ladiez who never understood my Clinton skepticism. The author of this post mentions Bush, but fails to mention that it was Bill Clinton who first declared that the Federal government would go after MM growers when California voted to allow it. Since then, it's never been a stretch to label him a Republican asshole.

    @Mediahohoho: Hillary, for her part, insists she has never smoked marijuana. Not even once.


    The scary thing is, it may well be true. And as far as I'm concerned that disqualifies her for the presidency right there.

    @saintjim: I don't know about the presidency, but it excuses her from my sympathies, support or understanding.


    Having been a procurer of pot to during the prolonged, terminal stages of a horrible and painful AIDS death, I believe that medical marijuana is a heavy-duty right/wrong moral issue.


    For my libertarian friends, I believe that non-medical, recreational marijuana use is a none of your fucking business issue, and that anything that moves marijuana cultivation and distribution away from scum narco-terrorists currently wreaking havoc on the Mexican border, and into the hands of domestic growers (who should be able bootstrap legal profits from their initiative and knowledge) is a step forward.


    Just like the last Great Depression, it's time to end prohibition.

    In all serious-ness, this is big. I can't count the amount of raids we saw in Humboldt County in the past four years.


    Now it's time to legalize it, tax the shit out of it, and turn this economy around.

    @Stephanie Haller: Actually, I'd prefer that government stay the fuck out of it, but I guess that's too much to ask. It would be a great industry, though. I'd pay a premium for some product that was "certified organic."
