    This is extremely unsurprising. Dumb sheep blindly talking nonsense about their anointed jester...obviously. Who else would actually show up? I'd like to hear from some actual thinking people, not sycophantic dolts, (if they exist) who believe Sarah Palin to be the next best thing. Otherwise it's just a matter of saying the 2012 election will be decided by her mentally-stressed base.

    Her consistent and rhetorical bleetings--always on que!--about drilling for oil in Alaska points to the fact that Big Oil would be her financial backer in any future run for office. If our over consumption of fossil fuels falls over the next 3 years she'd be hard pressed to finance a run for a position as judge of a moose chili cook-off.

    OK, I suppose you DON'T want to show the idiots who were pro-Obama; and when the reporter gave them McCain's platform as Obama's, they all agreed to the entire platform, starting with no abortions for anyone...and the one or two who said, "Gee, I didn't think he stood for that" were briskly told by the reporter, "Well, he does. So are you still for him?" And the idiot, after a head scratch says, "Yeah. I like him."

    You need to be an equal opportunity idiot revealer. This is one-sided. And you know, the more you bash Palin, the more people will start to feel sorry for her and potentially vote for her.
    And they'll have a point, being as how with all the other things going on in the world, and in Washington, anything she does gets headline news. Are you going to start following her into restrooms and report on her activities there? "Palin has smelly poos"? If you want her to be gone, stop talking about her and keeping her alive in the media.

    @Novaload: Yes, Gawker is what's keeping Sarah Palin alive in the media. If Gawker would just be quiet about her, no one else would notice her.

    Gawker is a blog that, among other things, comments on what's going on in the media. What was going on in U.S. mainstream media for the past two weeks was Sarah Palin, non-stop. Posting an alternative view of her is entirely in keeping with what I want Gawker to do (although posting the same one repeatedly isn't so great).

    If you've seen a video that shows Obama supporters being this stupid, just post the URL. No one's stopping you.

    And what I say here does go to media in general but the blogs and folks like Letterman seem to get a special thrill out of going for low-hanging Palin fruit. It's old, it's tired and I also think (ducking) that there's a strongly sexist in it--Clinton and Palin took a million times more abuse than any candidates, ever. "Outright ridicule" is not an argument or a critique. And look at how the media and others tiptoed around the Hasan story--terrified to say a negative thing about a Muslim.
    But the bottom line is, ignore Palin. Let her cash in on her book like every other politician (Obama had TWO autobiographies out by his mid-30s, LOL) and casher-inner, and ignore it. She is guaranteed to go away.
