What, are you nuts?

Substitute any other country is this sentence, and this would never fly. So Basically, this guy buys and sells our foreign policy. Why does everyone wig out when we start talking about "The Israel Lobby". It's clear there is one, and it's clear EVERYONE is sucking at it's teat and taking their orders.

Are we to belive that it is only due to the rich and powerful "Israel lobby" (i.e., Jews) that the U.S. supports Israel? I would be surprised if the majority of Americans did not support Israel.

Saban is an alpha-male braggart, read interviews where he lets everyone know in no uncertain terms, he spent time with Bill Clinton in the White House, hanging with the family. ALOT of time. Do you think it was normal that during the Pres.Election, Hillary Clinton speaks at AIPAC - a lobby for a foreign country - and this is broadcast FULL, live on BBC and CNN, without interruption? So what other lobby group did you see that for...?
AIPAC lobbying affects foreign policy towards a foreign country: Hillary goes further than our nation's position: At that lobbyist meeting, she claims Jerusalem as the undivided capital; she stated there that it is a crime that there is the use of the word "nakba" from the Palestinian side to describe their own FATE in their own language regarding the creation of Israel?! Only Israel outlaws that term - this is a term which is accepted in university discourse, in official middle east policy discourse, and around the world. It's a word with good reason presenting the other sides position. WHY would our President BOTHER TO COMMENT ON IT?? She recites the names proudly of Israeli soldiers "kidnapped" (soldiers are not civilians, they get "captured"). When did you hear her mention American soldiers in Iraq by such familiar names and marching with their wives (as she did the Israeli soldiers) in NYC. And again, for any other FOREIGN COUNTRY. Should I go on? It is a FOREIGN COUNTRY. AIPAC deals with Foreign Policy and military funding. Guess what Israel gets the most of. And not in those silly credits, in cash folks, beginning of the funding year.
By the way, the story about Gene Simmons rings false, Saban can't be that much of a fool not to know Simmons is Israeli, donating money to their soldiers etc.. and I'm sure they share certain watering-holes. Not buying that one.

Israel is not just any "foreign country." Israel is an ally. The majority of the American people supports Israel. The majority does not support the states and non-state agents that speak and act openly against Israel. AIPAC or no, it would be a major shift in U.S. policy to abandon its traditional allies.

Forget the funny stuff and focus on the second paragraph: Israel is an ally; the majority of the U.S. supports Israel; our foreign policy, appropriately, is consistent with past and present U.S. goals and interests, and it represents the will of the majority.

If that's true, he could be called a state-level enabler.
