    John Forte was hardly privileged - he was on a full scholarship which Exeter offers to underprivileged minorities every year - a feel good about themselves policy. Thing is, minorities on scholarship at Exeter were made to do things like, the dishes, every night, just to remind them where they have come from! In any case, I think this was a righteous pardon. This is like a story that is only there so the blogger (H. Nolan) can push the funny headline. . . . lack of any real insight . . . . I'm just saying; glad he is out.

    @dontread: The issue isn't so much whether Forte deserved it, it's how many people who didn't have the good fortune to go to Exeter (and whatever his personal background is, I'm sure Forte would be the first to say that he was pretty fucking fortunate to get that break) deserve it, too, and aren't getting it. The War on Drugs is nearly as costly and ultimately pointless as the one in Iraq, maybe even more so.
