    I'll just jump in here to say that since the author can hardly produce pay stubs, we have to take her word for it she was billing $2K/hour.


    It may be that her top asking price was $2K/hour, and she may even have received that from time to time. But I am willing to bet that she accepted a good deal less rather than simply sit idle.


    Factor in as well no-shows and the mean income per scheduled trick plummets.

    @BookishLookish: first off, I'd like to know what she'd do about my scabby knees.     Probably not! They're really quite awful at this, you know. They devote almost all of their limited resources on closing accounts they determine to be delinquent based on random audits. There is little to no time or manpower devoted being proactive and doing good research. That's why we have such a huge tax gap.
