The Second Coming of the Spitzer Hooker Scandal
An Honest Guide To Exploiting Media Parties

Rupert Murdoch personally directed the top editors at the New York Post to run this series of stories on Spitzer's purported plans to run for office in order to nip them in the bud.
Spitzer went after Murdoch's business cronies on Wall Street and they want to make sure he doesn't return to office.
But here's the real scandal: whether investment bankers on Wall Street pushed the FBI investigation into the prostitution ring used by Spitzer in order to bring him down. People are wondering why the FBI got involved in a local criminal operation. The FBI usually doesn't.

You don't see the sex scandals coming up as Newt Gingrinch is considering a run. The rehasing of scandals doesn't seem to come up when a conservative candidate eyes a run.

I'm also wondering if you could explain how the right forced Spitzer to pay for sex with hookers while putting himself out there as some big moral authority, even (in his AG days) prosecuting people for the very crimes he was coerced (by the right) to commit. That's a pretty good trick!

What made Spitzer an "effective politician"?
His deal as AG with W/S banks in 2003 did nothing to stop the later crisis, and was a huge distraction.
He was a horrible governor for 1.3 years, doing nothing to address what was already a plummeting economy.
Then, he paid to, um, frolic with less privileged ladies slightly older than his own kids and quit, leaving us with the incompetent whom he had appointed to serve in such a scenario, when only he knew that there was a real risk that the scenario would come to pass and that he would have to resign.
And he has never said a word (to my knowledge) about why the hookers and their facilitators should be punished legally, while he -- who created the demand -- was not.

Can you please explain the difference between "multiple affairs" and "committing adultery"?
