    Howard jumped the shark when he divorced Allison. Which was a long time ago.


    Sometimes the BaBaBooey thing has been funny but this isn't one of them.


    When all the networks cut away from an NBA playoff game during the OJ chase way back in the mid 90s, one of Howard's callers pranked (Peter Jennings or Tom Brokaw?) a big network because they were so pissed off that every single channel was carrying this idiocy.


    They called as a neighbor of OJ's but they had put on an Amos and Andy voice and said, "I see OJ. He be looking mighty scared." And he ended with BaBaBooey. If you could ever find this clip, it's one of the funniest things ever. The anchor didn't even flinch even though the voice was so exaggerated and obviously put on. No one felt sorry for him.


    That was probably one of the last times Howard's listeners were funny or interesting. It should have ended then. Howard isn't relevant and this isn't the 90s.

    I remember when some idiot did this during the local reporting of Flight 800 killing a few hundred in the Long Island Sound, and apparently the douche rag who did this today didn't have any compunction about doing his phone masturbation on CNN. So I guess my question is whether Howard's listeners aren't all just a bunch of serial wank artists like their hero.

    Why don't they re-institute the 7-second delay? Do they have to be break news that instantaneously that they can't put on a fucking delay to stave off shit like this?


    Keep in mind, Janks has done this to about 100 other media outlets, so apparently the ditching of the delay is across the board..

    @Aaron Altman: He pretends to not be an accessory to those shenanigans, but back in the day, Howard himself called Air Florida after they crashed off a DC landing strip bridge into a freezing river (and about 12 people died) and asked if he can book a non-stop flight into the Chesapeake River or something.. real funny.

    But, to CJ's credit, he does go through great lengths to mask/spoof his number etc to "prove" he's legit -- even though they always take that gamble when they're letting just some "eyewitness" on the phone to detail what they're seeing..
