I'm trying to figure out if this trend -- were it to exist in the real world, I mean -- would mean an increase or a decrease in competitive advantage for us straighty-straight boys.

But it seems to be a rather complex question, and I can't keep track of all the variables (most of which involve how women think about things like this).

@BookishLookish: Depends, doesn't it? There's a certain masculinity that is able-bodied, intelligent, minimalistic, at times aggressive - but still evolved. Still comfortable with nuance. That's the kind of guy I love, and I don't consider that to be "typical." Typical guys can go screw themselves.

@Hydroceph: It's not that we find "the reverse" attractive, it's that we find THAT particular man attractive. And bi guys often (NOT always) are less hung up, been around the block by a different path, and hell, if you're a girl who likes guys, you've got a lot in common with a guy who likes guys.
