And about Hollywood, even though it would be sooo easy to listen to the rich and glamorous (I guess you think so), you see we don't...why? Because we realize that they have no real power, they can't change the face of politics, because they are really ordinary citizens. We don't make them denizens for our political party unless they earn it, and even then they're just one voice out of many, not the only blustering, crazed, wild-eyed, slack-jawed, crying, crusading, flustered voice drowning out all the other possible sane ones in the bunch. Pick your leaders smartly, or your whole team reflects the sentiments of the idiots holding the mic.

I'm thinking if the so called "Death Panel" portion was removed it was because the ridiculous notion of the "killing grandma" propaganda was shamefully being repeated blindly, instead of people (right wing fanatics) actually using their brains to evaluate what was actually being said, and not listening to Sarah "mental athlete" Palin.
So we agree about the Birthers. Good. At least I can cross that off my "Geez. Is ConAir for real with this mess" list.
Not even going there with the terrorist/communist stuff. You know that was complete desperate bullshit.
Lastly, no liberal group has been as vocal, as fanatical, or misinformed as the right wing groups. They marched on Washington with racist Obama posters for Christ's sake! So yeah, really, let's stop playing games here. If you want to represent the right, do so, truly. But with arguments that make sense, and not just inflammatory talking points from the fringe. Guns are ok because they are legal. C4 is illegal. This is pretty easy stuff. People don't need to "justify" anything.
The language in the bill was, in fact, about counseling people on choosing to die. The name "Death panels" summed it up quite nicely.
Obama is a radical. That is not bullshit. The fun part is people waking up to that fact who voted for him. That's what they get though for doing zero research. Hope and Change is not a policy.
Liberal groups have been in full siege mode for years. The majority of the media have been enablers of this crap for years. At no other time in history has this been as apparent. Thank god for the internet and for people now to get some truth. Dan Rather sure wasn't going to give it to us.
I haven't really shot out talking points. I don't do that. I say the things I say because they are logical and I am a conservative. Some of my ideas will coincide with things the talking heads say. I cannot do anything about that. #lizardpeople

Granted, the show is a remake of an old story, and it was filmed a while ago, but it has also been retooled a lot lately. Not unlikely that certain themes could have been included to play into contemporary politics of the last 9 months.
I have no horse in this race though. I'm about to watch it on the DVR, and I think Obama is a pussy moderate waaaayyyy too far to the right for my taste, so I don't really care what the reading is.

At a time when Republicans warn Real (white) Americans about the dangers they face from invading foreigners and when Caucasian American citizens confront the inevitability of a minority-majority nation, it's no coincidence that a TV show would emerge about a sinister olive-toned and dark-haired foreigner who threatens the American way of life. As long as the writers keep the show from getting boring, it'll have a long shelf life. There are plenty of Southerners alone, who fear the increasing numbers of Mexicans in their midst and the newly upbeat attitude from their black acquaintances, to keep this show in business.
24 whets the appetite for torture and post-9/11 revenge fantasies. A little Arab water-boarding is fun and all but it isn't enough. This stuff validates the core belief that the dark foreigner, who isn't content to clean our toilets, is bad news. And humans are suckers for validation. #lizardpeople
