I had a friend at the Bhagat wedding who wouldn't shut up about it. This sounds like a real contender for long-term win. Apparently they had a Nobel Peace Prize winner there among other people, which was the big takeaway. And the Jew-Muslim White-Indian thing combined with three different weddings sounds pretty awesome. I've been jealous of the invite and am not surprised to see them take this one. And tough competition, the guys are hott.
Small victories: in the print edition (couldn't find it online) they ran a correction for their misspelling of wheaten terrier, which I POINTED OUT IN THIS SPACE. I'm gunning for your job, Bob Woletz's copy editor.
I'm trying to think what store in "Noho" he bought his blazer at. Le Chateau? No way. Nom de Guerre? Difficult to navigate with a stroller. Atrium? Likely.
@MattGaymon: You are smart to place scare quotes around the neighborhood, as it's more than likely they are totally reaching there and they were actually in, like, Washington Square Park.
She is the daughter of Melabee M. Miller and Laurence M. Miller of Hillside, N.J. Her father is a lawyer in private practice in Jersey City. Her mother is a freelance architectural photographer whose photographs appear in magazines and newspapers.
I misread Adam Levine and Jansen Wu as Jason Wu. I had visions of Maroon 5 and Michelle Obama. My fave line thus far, I have a few more couples to go is :
Remy Elizabeth Pearce and Jonathan David Forgang were married Saturday by Rabbi Peter H. Schweitzer at the Players club in New York.
Oh my God "Phyllis" really outdid herself this week. This is DELICIOUS on every level and I don't even read the vows section. BTW: I will NEVER have Elaine's namedropped in an article about me. Please God please.
I so love the wedding section, the gems that are tucked in those announcements are priceless. I am glad to see I am not the only one.The casually thrown in one are especially satisfying.
Totally unfair on the part of the editors to let Lily be in the picture with Sebastian/Lavi. She's too cute!! If I were a straight who submitted my "eyebrows-to-eyebrows" photo to the NYT this weekend and got rejected, I would be pissed.
Anyone taking bets on whether Clark Hoyt will have to respond to the avalanche of mail from angry brides?
@friend_of_a_friend: I think it's kind of nice they published that picture on the same day of the gay rights march in D.C. Gays with a kid! (and a girly kid, too!)
@friend_of_a_friend: The print version only had a picture of the couple, while the online version had two pictures (including that one with Lily!) The distinction between which photos appear in print and which online continues to mystify me.)
