    Good for her. But I'd like to suggest that perhaps the problem with her modeling career has less to do with being short and more to do with being quite plain looking. (Martha Plimpton faced the same issues when she tried modelling in the late 80s.) I wouldn't normally say this, but I feel it is OK to say when addressing the subject of aspiring models.

    My experience as a model is one that is based on taking a chance for yourself. During a boring summer in Syracuse, New York, in 2001, I Googled the word model. And since then I have seen a rare side of the modeling business as finding success as petite girl, hence the title of my book: Almost 5'4", and I have been able to over come the odds. But it hasn't happened from being born lucky. Instead it has been through my own will and persistence and the results of just simply trying and chasing what you want to happen, and making it happen.

    @blogissuchanuglyword: I agree. A friend of mine is a S&M and fetish (also sometimes "fine art") model, and she gets paid more than this microceleb.


    To her credit though, her nipples are probably nicer than Ms. Jade's, and she doesn't even have them treated.
