    Abortion? After a lot of thesaurus-ing, Cajun Boy, I'm still not sure what you did mean, but I don't think it was "abortion."


    Also, while so far I generally think you are doing quite nicely here at Gawker, the lowercase letters in your name are starting to slowly drive me insane. This was founded as a media site, brother. Show some respect for the proper noun.

    @Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century: The use of the word "abortion" as a synonym for "disaster" is common among those who would qualify for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" (or Bay Ridge, Staten Island, Lawn Guyland, etc.). (Maybe Cajun Boy grew up on the Turnpike?)

    @The Lone Scout: Yeah, the first time I heard that, it was from my bitchy gay elementary school teacher. He was referring to our test grades. This was in suburban downstate NY, and our teacher was from suburban north Jersey. I said it once in KY, to the bemusement of my audience.

    Why do you think secret societies are secret? It's so you don't know how lame they are.


    Seriously, they want to maintain that mystique. Anything that's secret must have creepy machinations going on, not to mention designs on controlling the world.
