I'm think the love/hate for the ivy league occupy the same space. I see it less as a spectrum and more a venn diagram with general populous sitting rather firmly in the overlap. The MSM, on the other hand, is so in the tank for the ivy league, they can't help but care about and run countless stories about them, while also taking advantage of the public's desire to see the rich/elite behave like everybody else and worse.

Meanwhile, the people in the "love" category can sit back and tell themselves "They hate us for our freedoms" and be done with it.

Robert Langdon copied and pasted the little paragraph from the bilious website into his text editor. Why Good Morning America? His hand, trembling, moved the mouse, clicked, and hit the space-bar. Suddenly, it was all clear: Suze Or man. "She’s a man, baby!" he screamed. It was the beginning of an investigation that would lead him into the dark underworld of Roman Catholic intersex lesbian financial advising.

You know what goes good with Fried Chicken? Orangina. Meanwhile, Blue Ribbon > Popeyes > NYT > KFC. And if we wanna get the South in here, Blue Ribbon > Bojangles > Popeyes, etc.

One of the reasons why the papers went ape$h!t over Welles' "War of the Worlds" broadcast was because radio had been stealing advertisers from the papers.
