1) Not sure of Salon's #s, but according to most, Smith took them from 0-15 MM in two years. In this climate, that sounds like a solid "track record" to me.
2) I don't Smith ever worked at IAC. I think what your confused about is that IAC sold ads (or didn't) for HuffPo, prior to Smith's arrival.
