Better Know a District is always the best part of this show. I loved the Eleanor Holmes Norton ones, when he asked her why she was undressing him with her eyes.
I watched the Freshman Year series on CNN.com with Congressmen Polis and Chaffetz and they were both pretty funny guys, though I agree with few of Chaffetz's political opinions.
@tetragami: Ditto. And the worst part is, when they ask "well how did you _____?" I will have no answer. Because all I remember from life before the Internet is watching Clue on VHS and playing a computer game that required put 12 different floppy disks in my Commodore 64.
@DahlELama: I think I'll tell them about "using my imagination" and Mickey's Space Adventure, which required 6 floppy disks on my Tandy 1000. And the floppy disks were actually floppy! Not that they'll know what floppies are.
So HE was the first domino in the Excite@Home demolition? I was consulting there when it all went "poof". Too many overpaid 20-somethings playing foosball in the rec rooms if you ask me.
I JUST (like literally an hour ago) finished watching the Freshman Year series (It's like 'The Hills' but on Captiol Hill) on CNN's site featuring Freshman Congressmen Polis and Jason Chaffetz of Utah and really liked both of them.
Google it - watch it. The whole thing is in 4 episodes - takes about 45 minutes to get through. Polis seems like a good guy, imo. And his partner is ADORABLE!
@BeccaSaurus Rex: My step sister is extremely nice. People love her. She also just had a kid to try and get on welfare. I feel for the kid, and tried to get her to stop smoking a pack a day when she was pregnant, but hey! She was really nice.
@Paul_Is_Drunk: how is your beef with your step-sister AT ALL similar to this situation?
Polis satisfies his constituents, calls them personally by phone to pacify their fears about the stimulus package, cares about the environment and is willing to fight for legislation that reflects his beliefs - and I'm supposed to jump on the snark train because of a blog post when I can form my own opinion?
pffft!
He's a rich, gay, eccentric who came out of nowhere onto the national political stage and that's why people don't like him. Well, I do.

I wonder if someone could work a little graphic magic with that premise. Me, not too much, as I'm just a writer.
