If the answers are yes and yes, then cutting spending would mean, in the long run, changing contracts so that the production company doesn’t end up spending £40K on personal care. But it also might mean that stars attend fewer foreign premiers, if they don’t like the terms. Foreign premieres lacking the stars could in turn could lead to declines in foreign ticket sales and, less tangibly, hurt the brands of the studios, films, and even the stars themselves.

It’s tricky from a business perspective, although as one who could live decently off £40K/year, I’ll subsume Richard’s voice and say, yes, "That’s fucking disgusting."
