Yeah, I'm not sure there's ever been a Men's Health cover that didn't offer both SIX-PACK ABS and CARDIO WORKOUT something or others. They basically all look like this.
@braak: You know what would help you notice subtle semantic and aesthetic differences in the overall structure of this art? SIX-PACK ABS. That's right, don't question it. Are you eating carbs? FORGET IT. EAT A BACON. Listen to me. PROTEIN. What I'm not gay. FOOLISH.
I miss the studly fitness models that used to be on the covers. None of the stars that the magazine gets on its covers are willing to pose shirtless anymore and I feel this objectification of men needs to return.
We demand that our fifteen-year-olds take written tests in controlled environments to ensure they actually wrote the words they take credit for.
I humbly suggest that anything good enough for America's children - our children! - is good enough for Sarah.
The SAT organization needs to proctor any and all Palin editorials, past, present and future.
The thing I've never understood: other than the anti-"leftie tree huggers and PETA save all animals" kinda folk, just why in the world would anyone benefit off creating the "myth" of global warming? Damn, wouldn't we all be dancing in the streets if we found out this thing weren't true? What could anyone possibly be "gaining" or "profiting" off the concept that there is a very good chance we are completely destroying the very ground we walk on and air we breathe?
Wait, whats the character who says "Aaaaaaaaaaauuuuuucccccccccch, that's cute!" I love Kristen Wiig. And while we're at it, whenever I think about good recent SNL I think of Amy Poehler and Kaitlin... my favorite.
Her characters aren't always funny.. but the woman is talented. Herself, Andy, and Bill are the main reason I've started tuning into SNL again. I love her celebrity impersonations, and occasionally her featured characters.
@Ogiri W Surie: I don't watch SNL - I've never seen her in anything aside from those Vincent Price Holiday Specials - but I just about peed myself watching that Target Lady clip. The others? Eh. But that Target Lady shit is inspired.
@Ogiri W Surie: I haven't found most of these sketches to be all that funny, but I think at this point SNL could take any comedian regardless of talent and make them not funny.
Penelope sucks, but the "bitch please" (not featured above) movie reviewer is great. "Vin Diesel should take a Fast walk into a Furious wood chipper.....biiiiitch pleeeeaaase!"
@logruszed: Penelope is the best! Also, all of the haters out there I have two words for you: Cheri Oteri. Anyone saying Wiig is bad and not facing the reality of Cheri Oteri is a bit looney tunes.
@SpyMagician: I dunno' if I get your point. Are you saying she is good because Oteri was bad? If so, why can't they both be bad? SNL has a long history of losing their best talent.
@SpyMagician: I can probably watch a show built around those characters. Okay, maybe I could only stand 1/2 hour, but they would be so much better than Gilly.
As a game show nerd, this titillates my nipples as Michael Davies has been working on a pilot for a revival of Pyramid that CBS has expressed interest in. Fuck soaps.
I can tell she's very talented, but that stupid "just kidding" lady is just...well, unfunny. She's a cross between Kevin Nealon's "subliminal guy" and...um, some other character that annoys me.
This is probably a one-off skit, but Wiig's impression of a theater actress circa 1960 is so incredible, is has fast become my favorite character she has ever done. LOOK AT ME!
