    What I am still confused about is why the murky and nefarious puppet masters want to be connected with all this flash big spending and high rolling... I mean, if you want things to be on the DL why have a guy reflecting light into the shadows?

If they wanted to blend in and avoid suspicion due to shady dealings, their "front man" would be a plausible "playboy" type, a guy who looked the part, not some dude who people see throwing around money and think "Man, that guy has to be a front for an arms dealer or some shit." #jholow

    Maybe it's just me, but when the original Post article said that Low isn't spending his own money and his friend from Kuwait took the credit, I assumed the mystery was over. Especially, if you consider that rich Middle Eastern businessmen have been flying starlets around and renting time with beautiful women for at least, three or four decades. All in all, the whole thing sounded like a bad cliche.

    @skt.smth: The idea is that Jho Low parties with an entourage; one of the entourage is actually the moneybags who chooses which starlet he wants to meet today, and they just put out that Jho Low is the big shot of the group.

    @BaldwinPeriphetes: I'm still not buying it. How does Jho Low know this (or these) "hard" guy/s in the first place? It seems to me that, if the dude were Russian, we'd just assume he was heir to an oil fortune or something and move on. Why does Jho Low have to be involved in gun-running (or be the front for a guy who is)? Because he's Malaysian, and a Malaysian can't possibly have enough money to club like that? #jholow

    @raincoaster: It could come from anywhere. My best guess is that he's the playboy son of some filthy rich Malaysian financier, construction magnate, or some such. The economy has been booming in that region (setting aside the current economic crisis, of course), so it's not terribly out of hand to imagine that the money has legitimate sources. #jholow
