I would have to inspect those to tell if they're real or not. I'm willing to make that my pro bone-o case of for the year.

She really did get the shit deal out of that whole thing -- where as a child she really did have to actually act, while the lil Olsen twins not only had to each do half as much work, but just sat there and said stupid predictable one-liners, and they are the ones worth hundreds of millions. She must really fucking hate them.

failed child star stories are generally insufficient for an entire book. can't gawker publish a book of short stories, "a field guide to failed child stars"? then you could have 'failed child stalker'...

We were friends in college. She was genuinely a great girl, despite the meth, which made her incredibly chatty for 8am. Hope she's doing well.

Am I the only one who was obsessed with this show as a kid? And wanted to be the brown-haired version of Stephanie? Especially when she started wearing flannel shirts (to be grunge, I guess) towards the end? Or is it just me?

@apocalypse-nowish: I even had the books! The special Stephanie books. One where she starts her own cooking business, because she rocks at baked ziti, but she can't take all the orders because it's just too much!

@apocalypse-nowish: My daughters have the books. I don't know where they came from, but there's at least 2 in the younger one's room. Steph was always my favorite too. Michelle scared me, and DJ always reminded me of my stupid, bossy sister.

Oh wow. Seriously, now I understand why, as a child, I was obsessed with being a dancer when I grew up. Between my love of full house and Paula Abdul...

Actually, that last sentence sort of explains all the drugs, too. Huh. I forgot Stephanie danced! Thanks, Gawker. You've given me so many memories back.
