    Looks like Ms. Uchitel is concerned that her slice of the publicity/financial pie is shrinking now that other women have spoken about sleeping with Tiger.

    I expect a major change-of-heart about her previous denials. She just couldn't continue to be so dishonest. Her mom brought her up better than that. Oh, and she was also taken advantage of. By Tiger and the media.

    And I also expect the my-fiance-died-in-911 sympathy card to be played.

    @secretagentman: I think she's dying to talk about suing someone. I think she's gotten to that level of superlawyer-ness where you don't actually sue anyone anymore...way too messy. You just hold press conferences and threaten to do it.

    This quote sounds more closet gay than rapist to me:

    @drunkexpatwriter: I didn't read either from that. He's saying that when he dates anyone the press turns it into this bad thing and gets him into trouble, hence he equates dating with having to deal with constant criticism in the media.

    Just not sure how it's closeted gay OR rapey.

    "I equate dating a woman with punishment, shame, guilt, disappointment" is very similar to how some of my gay friends have described what it was like when they were trying to force themselves to be straight.

    @drunkexpatwriter: Yeah, it's pretty common when someone is under a microscope of any kind to equate their personal life with the negative attention it often receives. Whether it's a group of friends or the media. And honestly, no matter what the guy does he's criticized! But, that hardly makes it "rapey".

    Saying you'll 'forcefully sodomize' someone isn't necessarily rapey. Maybe they want you to forcefully sodomize them. There's a big difference between 'forcefully' and 'forcibly.'

    @snugbug: Well... I assume you want people from his generation? There are far more awful "guitar gods" from decades past. His only really competition in his age bracket that I can think of (at least as far as shitty frat-blooze playing goes) is Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Of course, I had to look him up to even remember his name, so he's a distant second at best.

    @MyNameIsChris: I bow to your expertise on lame guitarists.

    I entertained the notion that both Tom Morello and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (that cute prog wizard from The Mars Volta) are significantly nerdier than Mayer, but I take it back. I find their respective signature styles super-geeky, but upon closer consideration, they themselves are in no way John Mayer-lame. This competition yields a landslide win for "the frat blooz preacher."
