"The Court's ruling, however, did not declare legal immunity for Ashcroft or Mueller - or, for that matter, lower-ranking officials who allegedly carried out discriminatory policies sent down from the top. Rather, it dealt only with the requirements that had to be made in the initial lawsuit to show that the selection of those to be rounded up, and their alleged mistreatment in a Manhattan jail, were the result of race, religious or national origin bias, in order to survive a motion to dismiss the case at the outset.
"The Court, in fact, left it to the Second Circuit Court to decide in the first instance whether to allow those who brought the case to amend their lawsuit in hopes of bolstering it."
In other words, they ruled that the complaint didn't show discriminatory intent, only effect, and that the appeals court could allow the plaintiff to file an amended complaint claiming discriminatory intent if it chose to do so.
Has anyone yet removed the tarp that Ashcroft ordered placed over that bust in one of the Federal buildings? Just wondering whether Washington has been wiped clean of that dump masquerading as a man.
It was late last night. And I was home. And I came back from the bar. But I was awake. It was about 3am. And I was watching COPS. Boy, I love COPS. There was this COPS episode, and I was watching it. And it took place in Vegas. And this cop on COPS was driving down this street, and pulled up to a pickup truck, and it was late in Vegas too, and he pulled the guy out of the pickup and started harassing him, and I was like why? why? why? sometimes people sit in their pickup trucks at 2am for no reason. For no reason I can tell. And the cops on COPS started yelling at the poor fellow. Then they beat the ever living shit out of him. For no good reason apparently. Then they tazed him! But then, he spit meth, or crack or something out of his now bloodied mouth. I guess they were right. Why would someone not on meth sit in a parking lot in a pickup truck in Vegas and not be on meth? Boy, those cops on COPS and their interrogation tactics. Boy.
