    My dirty little secret~I'm ancient. But for you babies among us, I have a story to tell. In the late '60's-early '70's I fell in love with football. The reason was Oakland Raiders football coached by John Madden and Quarterbacked by George Blanda who was considered ancient at the time. It was so exciting watching those games. You just cant imagine. So thank you, Johnny Madden (as he was called then) and Goodnight George Blanda wherever you are.

    Good luck in your future bus travels and video game making, Madden, you hoagie-eating platitude spouter.


    Ok, that's just mean. Madden prefers to eat Turducken (or at least tear it apart like a wild hyena during MMF).


    Also, the poor man has been completely usurped by the awful Frank Caliendo.


    Lastly... yes he does say obvious things like "They should run the ball on fourth and inches", but even up to the very end he always had a knack for making the game fun, which is what announcers should be trying to do. (Joe Buck, I'm looking at you.)

    @Botswana Meat Commission FC: jesus joe buck is the WORST. why the hell is he even announcing football? did fox just figure they'd two-fer him instead of hiring JUST ONE MORE DUDE?? between buck and kornheiser i'm not even sure i want to continue watching football if i won't have the soothing tones of john madden to calm me down...
