I remember rumors about Lester being the father years ago. And I'm pretty sure Mrs. Orbach died some time this spring.

Well, she plays piano pretty well which is a lot more than most young recording artists can do these days.

    This is either:

1 Standard baseline of scandal, regardless whos President, or,

2 Obama's standards ARE higher, so more people are withdrawing over questionable things. The new standard is working!

Re, Blago: Yes, Obama came from the SAME CITY as another politician that engaged in misconduct.

    That's a scandal all right!

Regarding the rest: The only real things of note in this list are tax and other problems of the nominees. Happens to republican appointees too. Bottom line is, appparently, if you take any wealthy person and scrutinize their taxes and their domestic help situation, you'll find that they didn't pay some taxes they should have, and they didn't withhold taxes or social security for their servants.

But people only notice when they get appointed to cabinet posts, because otherwise, nobody pays any attention.

Just take it as a given that no upper-class people pay all their taxes, nor do they withhold any taxes or Social Security for their servants. NONE OF THEM. Except those who aspire to public office, who need to take these steps as a pre-emptive measure. All the other rich folks are off the hook.

Heh, Samantha Power has fun future potential. Example:

    - "So, when Michelle and I were at pre-natal yoga - THAT'S OFF THE RECORD!"

    - "Oh no, Hillary and I get along sooo well! Sometimes she jokingly tell me to keep my resume on MONSTER.com just in case - THAT'S OFF THE RECORD!"

    - "You know what? They've already got the White House puppy, it's just being vetted. At the vet's. Amiright? You geddit? Yeah. That's ON THE RECORD!"

Reading Gawker coverage of Obama is like having a cool vampire friend. It's fun to hang out most of the time, but then they start salivating at the sight of roadkill, and it gets weird.
