Judd Gregg Withdraws, Because He Doesn't Like Obama |

Republicans are not opposing the stimulus bill because it's authored by Democrats they oppose it because it's not stimulus. The market has tanked since this thing came out no one likes this 1000 page piece of garbage because it's just a pay off to Democratic supporters just go read the damn thing or at least a summary.
And it's funny to hear liberals talk about being partisan and obstructionist, I wish there was as much of an outcry against partisanship and obstructionism when Harry Reid was saying the Iraq war was lost or Dem senators going with out permission to Syria to talk to Assad. Republicans are more than willing to work with Democrats and do want the administration to succeed because the administrations failure is Americas failure.
Before someone starts spouting off numbers about hoe 90% of some poll says we need to do something I agree we need to do something but 70% of those polled also agree that this bill is NOT stimulus and will destroy our currency. I'm probably being presumptuous seeing as how liberals don't like to use numbers if they don't make them feel good.

How many times is Obama going to let the Republicans give him the finger? It's in their interest (or so they believe) to fuck him up and bring him down by any means necessary for 2012. How much longer will he acquiesce to this?

Patience, Barry, patience. You have it, we need it.

After this, Republicans' chanting of "bipartisanship" -- a theme that had regained them some ground with the electorate, near as I could tell -- has been exposed as hollow. So for them, the upshot of the Gregg fiasco is a time-out for pissing in the swimming pool, and a trip back to square one.

Obama people: You got my vote and my paltry donations.
Could you please conjure up someone for a high-level office who does not have a problem? Is that possible?

The real economic policies are all made by dudes with finance backgrounds, and you're left collecting little bits of data and handing out awards that maybe you can name after yourself if you're really inspired.

Something came up in the vetting -- probably his Abramoff ties. This is why he's not running in 2010.

Also, according to Politico, Judd Gregg was the one who asked for the job. Really. This whole thing is just bizarre, and they're taking it at face value.

I expect to awaken tomorrow to an "eatsshootsleaves" byline owning this story.

I just get tired of the "media sucks" argument five minutes after a story breaks that no one saw coming.

Drop it, Barry, and let Rahm at them.
(I like some Republicans ... Kaye Bailey Hutchison, for example. And, actually, that's about it).

Your definition of "principle" is awfully elastic for a sitting judge, Your Honor.
