Craigslist has always been a mess both functionally and substantively. That the newspapers couldn't figure out how to compete with them on quality is stunning.
Half the clist job postings in my area seem to be scams -- people collecting email addresses, pirating resumes/contact lists, etc. -- or from flakes. I was shopping for a used car three years ago and there were a lot of junk postings in that section too.
I tried to buy a used "t-4-m" robot for my Star Wars collection. When I went to pick it up, some gal with a wiener explained some interesting stuff to me.
Well, Craig, that legalese certainly gets in the way of a thread of double entendre, winks and nudge. You clearly fail to understand your utility here.
I cannot respond to specific comments today. I have read a person can still be considered a serial killer even if they have only killed one person, as far as the criminal psychology aspect. I don't think his motivation was to rob. He liked wielding power over these women. He was most likely just starting out on his murder-y career. These sorts of crimes often escalate in violence as the criminal learns more and becomes more confident.
When I'm not reading Gawker I am reading news articles about murders or the TruTv Crime Library online. It's a strange hobby, I admit. However, when you read about these criminals, you find that many, many of them are "clean cut", "charming", a "regular guy". Patrick Bateman is probably much closer to what a real serial is like than these boogeymen like Freddie and Jason. The only thing that surprises me is that people seem shocked when it turns out the killer looks "normal".
Hah, shout-out to all the cosmo-drinking, Vera Wang wedding dress-wearing, psycho-engagement-making girls! It couldn't happen to a nicer buncha bitches.
