Sarah Palin Continues To Come Unhinged |
07/06/09
From the video -- This just might beat everything else this woman has EVER said on any subject that proved later to be nothing more than her flippy-floppy hypocrisy to endear in the moment.
She's what I like to call a "parrot." She mimics what she sees other people doing, saying, just short of being, and fools some, but anyone who can't see through her facade should have their voter registration card revoked.

It concerns this sentence in Sarah's lawyer statement:
"This is to provide notice to Moore, and those who republish the defamation, such as Huffington Post, MSNBC, The New York Times and The Washington Post, that the Palins will not allow them to propagate defamatory material without answering to this in a court of law."
That statement sure makes it LOOK like the New York Times and the Washington Post republished this rumor, doesn't it? Guess what? Neither of those two newspapers ever published anything about this story in the first place.
When asked why they called out those two papers in this legal warning, Palin's people said it was really just to "warn them away from the story."
Funny thing is, the way that statement's phrased (along with the accompanying swipe at "modern journalism"), it seems designed to plant the false notion in the public's mind that the Times and Post reported this scurrilous accusation.
Which, when you think about it, is kind of ... well, defamatory.

Good piece, Cajun. And it was very brave of you to write this, knowing that you're gonna get SUED by Sarah's lawyers and live the rest of your life in abject poverty! Way to take one for the team, bro!

As for Christie Toddy Whitman, I'm fairly sure the ridicule from her years as the Bush administration's EPA director, which even she admitted was an elaborate and sad joke having to do with her being from Jersey, would have been endless. Like Colin Powell, she would have spent the entire campaign trying to explain why she let the worst President in American history use her as window dressing while Dick Cheney micromanaged the dismantling of her department. She's done.

I wouldn't count CTW out yet. She left the Bush administration because she and Cheney were at odds. That is a very popular stance to take right now no matter if you are left or right.

And the Carter thing just sort of amplifies your reflexive ignorance. You're a Republican, we get it.

But...didn't lie us into any illegal wars and get 4,200+ of our soldiers killed. Didn't let down our guard so that a sworn enemy could make good on its threat to attack us and kill 3,000 citizens on our home soil.
No, sorry, I don't see it. Unpopular is not the same thing as bad. But it's a convenient meme for the right, and the fall back guy for Republican blame.

The Republican party has been ruined by the conservative movement. But I do have a question for you (and Mrs. Palin): as a conservative, how much help should the government give to parents of special needs kids? I smell a disconnect coming on.
