    This is a former AME of a finance magazine aimed at luxury goods advertisers and affluent readers. I'm sure Ms. Rich worked very hard at that Conde Nast corporate finance magazine aimed at affluent Wall St. types to expose the flim-flammery of affluent Wall St. types.

    I feel her crazy. I've been working remotely since January after my company decided to reduce its midtown square footage. Way too much take-out delivered. Starting to notice every little thing I hate about the place. TV always on. Computers always on. Voices in head getting louder. And sweatpants are definitely 'in' this season.


    Um, at least I still have a job? Yeah, that's it.

    Haha, what a fool! After I was laid off I invested my $326 New York Times feng shui bonus in gambling, hookers and a liter of Kentucky Gentleman. So far, so good; although, admittedly, I could have used that round leather ottoman last night.

    From the Times' "after" graphic, I really like "Bookshelves were arranged so that they don't line up perfectly, to provide interest."


    I guess "because it looks cooler that way" would sound a little too lowbrow, even if it is more accurate.
