"If I give them the vehicle title they will let me have my stuff back".
Does anyone see any elements of this story that might make it seem TOTALLY FICTIONAL? If he has the vehicle title in his hands, why did he not phone the cops.
@Pope John Peeps II: Because you have to be able to get to the vehicle. Having the title means nothing if your vehicle has been towed for a legitimate reason. You can phone the cops, but they'll just laugh at you, moreso than they usually would. I've been in exactly the same position, as far as impounding goes; unfortunately, when they gave me my keys and told me where the car was, I didn't have the presence of mind to just drive it away and sayfuckyouverymuch.
@The Dominant Glee Club: Clearly if you believe that the person who got your car towed and the towers are conspiring to steal from you, you can go to the police, because that's obviously fraud.
