It must be their "fictional" imprint. This man is very dangerous to us. His deep seated anger and visciousness has already gotten this fair Nation in quite a bit of trouble (wars, financial crises), who knows what else?
I still can't get the Halliburton double-billing issue out of my head, and the various other egregious acts perpetrated by this dangerous villian. The truth always comes out, so we will eventually know the depths of his transgressions.
@MelitaPolyhymnia: the book cover above is very funny but I would like a moratorium on jokes about Cheney shooting his friend. All it does is add to the cutesie lore of faux bad-assery. It was an accident and a non-event campared to the diabolical megalomania he can really get up to. He's still at it. And lying like there's no tomorrow.
Here's a question: what happened to Janeanne's face? She's a big favorite of mine, so I'm not knocking her, and as far as I'm concerned she can have tentacles coming out of her head and I'd still like her, but doesn't the lower portion of her face look all fucked up? Is it bad plastic surgery, is it the result of being an alcoholic, or is it just natural? I don't like 24 so much but do watch it from time to time and cringe every time I see her.
@Palmerlime: Actually her lame performance on AAR, where she came off as a caffeine-buzzed college freshman that just discovered "The Nation" exists is what turned me off to her. And then I saw her at Maxwell's during Hannukahpalooza and I liked her and found her quite funny.
So it's one of these things where she's funny as a performer but when she goes all "political analyst" on us she comes off like kind of an infantile idiot regurgitating what she read on Media Matters.
To criticize Garofalo for getting paid for doing a minor role on "24" - while Arnold Schwarzenegger gets to be governor of Lefty-HQ California after shooting 3/4 of the Western Hemisphere, torturing, and invading countries in his movies, is ridiculous.
Janeane is great and deserves the paycheck and as much airtime as any channel will give her. It's not like she's going down on Glenn Beck for cash.
@FormerEnglishMajor: She might not be going down on Glenn Beck for cash but she is clearly helping to indulge the fantasies of bigoted American sociopaths with her role in torture porn, for cash.
@gawkimo: Geeze, for someone so against the show, you know so much about it to be able to call it "torture porn". Last time I saw 24 (season 2) it didn't resemble a snuff film at all. Things must have really gone to shit on Fox. What is the format this season? 45 minutes of solid torture, 3 minutes of Jack running, 1 minute for everyone else? No wonder Garafalo's mad! She gets no screen time.
@coyote1284: Of course I watched it! For the same reason why I watch Neal Cavuto: to observe the tactics and rhetoric. But to be honest it got kinda boring. Like watching some guy jerk off in a woman's face, you can only watch swarthy looking dudes getting tortured by white people for so long before it just doesn't titillate!
@bytememehard: Don't ALL female godless tree-hugging vegan communist pinko freedom-hating hybrid-driving feminazi America-bashing liberal scum dive for muff?
@bytememehard: I know that we're going outside your frame of reference here, but I have known girls like her my whole life and they all have one thing in common. They are constantly wet. I bet Miss Giraffe has to change her panties three times a day. God help the innocent lesbian who jumps into the Wide Sargasso Sea at high tide. She'd need a snorkel and depth gauge just to find the man in the boat.
@saythatscool: I was actually married to, and fucked regularly and enthusiastically, a beautiful female womanly feminine dame. I kept her sopping wet, thank you.
@dado: Exactly. She signed on to a show loved by right-wing nutjobs (like me), and she can't be gracious enough to accept somebody's compliment and say "thanks for watching"? What a meaningful protest, Janeane. Way to speak truth to power.
From now on, when I go into a deli here in New York, if there's an Obama sign in the window, I'm not going to say "please" when I ask for something. That'll show 'em.

The woman is 45. Things start to get saggy and baggy around 10 years before that.

I have an odd list, admittedly. Kathy Griffin and Jennifer Love Hewitt never left my list, either.

Why are they not all bold, by the way? What makes one bold or not bold? Can I make them all not bold in my options? So far my ouija board says no.
